2025 Saint Medal Necklace - 20pk

- Description
For 2025, the Krewe de Jeanne d’Arc’s collectible annual Joan of Arc saint medallion features the second place winner from our 2023 Joan of Art juried art exhibition, an original graphite drawing by Kathleen McCord. The medallion version is set in a simple antique-silver-colored nickel-free bezel with a red waxed cotton cord.
The back of the medallion says “Saint Joan of Arc 2025, Artist: Kathleen McCord.” Saint medallions are individually packaged traditional saint-medal-style on a prayer card in a fitted cello envelope. Inside the envelope is another card with background information about the image on one side. The other side contains the initials of Krewe members who made and prayed over the medallion.
The 2025 prayer card is also included in the cello envelope.
This year's prayer is by Jen Ramos, who portrays Joan of Arc burning at the stake in our parade: "May the love of the Lord enter our hearts and guide us in building His army by living out the virtues exemplifed by our beloved St. Joan of Arc. Let Truth and Light guide our courage and bravery. Let Faith burn away all fear and darkness. Let love of our neighbor weave threads of humanity into our community. Lord, we seek your divine justice in our lives and in the world around us. May peace begin with us. Maid of Orléans, intercede for us. "
For 2025, the central image of the prayer card is "Glory to Joan," an original work by artist Carol Lynch, selected for our 2023 Joan of Art juried art show at Ariodante Gallery. For 2025 and the last several years, the prayer card frame is based on the Book of Hours of King Charles VIII of France, made in the late 1400s in Paris. François Barbier painted the border miniatures.
