Bravo!!! #WeSalute50 years ago today in U.S. Army Chaplain Corps history: On July 8, 1974, Reverend Alice M. Henderson became the first woman to officially serve as an Army chaplain when she was commissioned during a ceremony at Fort McPherson, Georgia. In 2019, she was inducted into the U.S. Army Women’s Foundation Hall of Fame.

Today, we honor all women who have served in the Army Chaplain Corps: Thank you for all that you do to provide religious leadership and support to our Soldiers, DA Civilians, and their Families.
