Coats of Arms

In medieval armies, knights wore the colors of their individual lords rather than a national uniform. Lords such as the Bastard of Orléans or the Duke of Alençon, or the famous fighter La Hire would bring their knights to support the Armagnac alliance (Charles VII). Of course krewe members can use our own logo as a coat of arms. In addition, below are some coats of arms you could incorporate into costumes or throws.

DrawShield.net:  The drawing tools are not as intuitive as the COAMaker.com, but there’s a detailed heraldry tutorial and a lot more guidance than COAMaker offers to help you use heraldry authentically. You can enter a blazon (official heraldic description or definition of how a coat of arms looks) and have it draw the design for you.
