Social Wednesday July 19 at Madame Vic’s
Hang out with fellow krewe members, test our snoball recipes and enjoy some live music Wednesday at Madame Vic’s, 6 – 8 p.m. Mardi Claw from Skinz n Bonez is the bartender! Live acoustic music and snoball recipe tasting too! Note: We’ll have snoballs and light snacks, but Madame Vic’s bar does not serve food. (1500 Elysian Fields, map)
Throws Workshop Sunday July 23
Come craft with us, Sunday July 23, 1-4 p.m.! All skill levels are welcome and all supplies will be provided. These are a great way to connect with other krewe members, get your questions answered, show off your own krewe projects, and bounce ideas. 7330 Sycamore St (map). Note: Due to street construction in the area, it works best to come down Lowerline from Claiborne. The house is on the corner of Lowerline and Sycamore, two blocks off Claiborne. Snoball Competition Saturday Aug. 19
We’re testing snoball recipes at the social this Wednesday because Krewe de Jeanne d’Arc will be one of several krewes vying for best syrup flavor in the “Snoball Fight” competition organized by Krewe of Krampus at the French Market on Saturday August 19, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Let us know if you’d be willing to volunteer for an hour or two at our table or help with snoball recipes or prep work.
Save the date: Joan of Art Opening Sept. 2 and Salon Sept. 16
We have a jam-packed next few months before parade season starts. Our Joan of Art submissions are open until July 31. Save the date for Sept. 2 to come in costume to the opening night of the Joan of Art juried exhibition at Ariodante Gallery on Julia Street. The Joan of Art exhibit opening is part of the monthly First Saturday art walk among the Julia Street galleries, so you may want to make a night of it. Our annual full-day conference at Tulane University, the “Salon de Jeanne d’Arc,” is set for September 16. View the full calendar of events on our website.
