Twelfth Night Ring Scroll

Antiqued gold-colored alloy ring around a Twelfth Night scroll commanding the wearer of the ring to engage in the eating of King Cake, the imagining of costumes, the devising of satire and the mastery of revels from now until Ash Wednesday. $45 for a set of 20.

SOLD OUT

The ring is an old-world antique gold-colored crown ring big enough to fit at least one finger of the average adult’s hand (approximately size 9).  Color print on parchment, the scroll features two whimsical images of jesters adapted from authentic medieval manuscript marginalia, our 10th anniversary logo (roman numeral 10 formed of elements of Joan’s coat of arms), with a gold foil seal of the Krewe de Jeanne d’Arc coat of arms.

The scroll text reads: “Hear ye, hear ye! On this Twelfth Night, the sixth of January in the year of our Lord 2018, the Krewe de Jeanne d’Arc hereby declares that Carnival has commenced.  In honor of the birthday of Joan of Arc, the tenth anniversary of the Krewe de Jeanne d’Arc, the adoration of the Magi, the conclusion of the Twelve Days of Christmas, and the crowning of kings, fit or unfit to rule, the Lord of Misrule, commands that from this day until Ash Wednesday the first of March, the Wearer of this Ring shall engage in the eating of King Cake, the imagining of costumes, the devising of satire, and the mastery of revels.”
