Mead and Merry: Medieval Beverage Tasting Ticketed Event

Medieval tales and songs abound with references to ale, wine, and drunken feasts, but what were they really drinking? Join the Krewe de Jeanne d’Arc as we find out! “Bonnie MacKinley” who leads the wine and whiskey tastings for the Louisiana Renaissance Festival, will guide us through a little history of medieval drinking with actual tasting of medieval favorites like gruit, mead and cordial, interspersed with medieval drinking songs led by Seth Scott.  (This event is part of Salon de Jeanne d’Arc full day seminar, but you are welcome to attend just Mead & Merry and/or any sessions that interest you at the full Salon.) map
