Kick off the Salon early and join our fellow krewe members The Amazons for a reception Thursday September 17, 6-8 p.m., at Pearl Wine Company, welcoming visiting author Dr. Janet Lynn Roseman. Roseman, author of If Joan of Arc Had Cancer, will present a workshop at our Sept 19th Salon de Jeanne d’Arc. Dr.  Roseman, a clinical professor in Family Medicine at Nova Southeastern University’s School of Osteopathic Medicine who specializes in spirituality and medicine, will discuss and sign her 2015 book If Joan of Arc Had Cancer: Finding Courage, Faith, and Healing from History’s Most Inspirational Woman Warrior. This discussion and book signing will take place in at the Pearl Wine Company in the American Can apartments (map), with food and drinks for sale and the Crescent City Farmer’s market outside until 7.

Local leader, Creole cultural ambassador, nurse and cancer survivor Dianne Honoré founded the Amazons Benevolent Society which joined the Krewe de Jeanne d’Arc in 2015.
