2026 Saint Medal Necklace - 20pk

- Description
For 2026, the Krewe de Jeanne d’Arc’s collectible annual Joan of Arc saint medallion features an image from our 2024 Joan of Art juried art exhibition, “Courage” by New Orleans Jackson Square artist Tara Gass-Braden. The original piece is made out of four layers of intricate hand-cut paper and is part of the artist’s Hometown Heroes series.
The medallion version is set in a simple unisex silver-colored nickel-free rectangular bezel with a black waxed cotton cord.
The back of the medallion says “Saint Joan of Arc 2026, Artist: Tara Gass-Braden.” Saint medallions are individually packaged traditional saint-medal-style on a prayer card in a fitted cello envelope. Inside the envelope is another card with the above background information about the image on one side. The other side contains the initials of Krewe members who made and prayed over the medallion.
The 2026 prayer card is also included in the cello envelope, featuring a central image from our 2024 Joan of Art juried exhibit by Lindsay D. Williams.
This year's prayer is by krewe member Andrew Wolfe: "Father of Lights, from You comes every good gift and love beyond telling. Remember the selfless fidelity of Your daughter Joan of Arc and attend to her prayers on our behalf, that we too might rightly embody her virtues of courage, patriotism, purity, faith, hope and charity. Lead us, as You led Joan, to achieve both justice and reconciliation in our city and our world. We ask this through Jesus. Amen. Saint Joan of Arc, pray for us!"
For 2026 and the last several years, the prayer card frame is based on the Book of Hours of King Charles VIII of France, made in the late 1400s in Paris. François Barbier painted the border miniatures.
Please note: Because Foot Soldier members may not hand out throws, they may not purchase throws, except for the keepsake pack and individual throws sold in person at events.
