2023 Salon Volunteers

Date: September 16, 2023

We need several people to bring ice chests of individually served non-alcoholic beverages (plastic bottles and cans), and we need a couple of people to pick up the lunches. The main thing we need help with is to have a friendly face always on deck in the entryway ready to answer questions and direct people to the auditorium. Next to the entry we have an alcove that will be set up as a krewe store, which will be busy during breaks. Note that the volunteer shift times intentionally do not match up with the session times. Volunteer shifts are scheduled so that two volunteers overlap to cover each break with the next volunteer slipping out of the previous lecture early to provide a quiet moment to get oriented before handling the break together, then the prior volunteer joins the lecture after the break.
