Krewe de Jeanne d’Arc dues are non-refundable. Dues are treated as a donation to the Joan of Arc Project, which puts on events year-round. By purchasing a membership in the organization, you become a financial supporter of the Joan of Arc Project which consists of an entire community of artists working together for a common goal. Membership is not simply a “parade ticket.” Being a full member of the krewe grants you access to all events open to the public and all krewe events that are restricted to krewe members only. More importantly, regardless of which events you personally attend, Joan of Arc Project LLC uses your membership dues year-round to carry out our mission to “honor and celebrate Joan of Arc’s life in unique artistic and educational ways, including the production of the annual Joan of Arc Parade and Salon de Jeanne d’Arc” and “keep Joan’s story and spirit alive by hosting events, workshops, and presentations that illuminate Joan’s heroism and timelessness, while connecting her to the French heritage and pride of New Orleans.”  

Therefore, if you purchase a parading membership and then unexpectedly find that you are unable to personally participate in the parade, you will not receive a refund. However, you may have a friend march on your behalf, contingent on approval of the board and the individual marching in your stead.  Likewise, if you purchase a non-parading membership and then unexpectedly find that you are unable to personally participate in a particular event or host your planned parade watch party, you will not receive a refund.
