Entourage Membership: King Pierre-Loic Denichou
Other Important Information
- This membership INCLUDES your pre-parade dinner party ticket (Bourbon Orleans)
- Costume as befits a medieval noble lady, lord or knight. (Costume Guide) Layer underneath for warmth. No modern coats, purses or bags on top of your costume. Medieval-ish baskets, bags, cloaks, furs and shawls are welcome to top off your costume.
- Report for duty at 5 p.m. sharp at the Natchez Pavilion on the river near Toulouse and Decatur. Arrive in costume.
- Behave with courtly decorum. Do not appear visibly drunk during the parade and do not drink during the parade. The parade lasts about 90 minutes and there are no bathrooms, so please wait until after the parade to drink.
- Distribute your noble largesse in the form of “throws,” or small favors for the crowd. We suggest 50 items to supplement the ones you’ll be provided by your King. The Krewe has a very few left available for purchase. Or you may make your own throws or purchase throws elsewhere following our throws guidelines (NO MARDI GRAS BEADS, NO PLASTIC). One easy and affordable suggestion is paper crowns.
- Feel free to browse our website to learn more about Joan of Arc and our parade, and you are welcome to attend other krewe events, with or without your king. The king’s entourage may particularly enjoy the holiday party at Eiffel Society on December 18th and the pre-parade dinner January 5 at the Bourbon Orleans.
