If you’ve picked your place, let us know!
If you’re still thinking about it, that’s fine too. How can we help?
As a full member in the Krewe de Jeanne d’Arc, YOU get to decide which section you want to walk in. YOU have artistic control to plan and provide your own costume, but you DO want to coordinate with other artists in your parade section.
Together, we bring the story of Joan of Arc to life, with each section of the parade (battalion) telling the story of Joan’s life.
Click here for an explanation of each of the battalion options for full members.
- You are absolutely welcome and encouraged to talk to battalion leaders and/or krewe members in that section or take some time to get to know people before you decide!
- Some people decide what type of costume they want to wear, and then choose a section that fits the costume. Others choose their section first and then choose a costume to fit that section.
- Most people stick with the same battalion from year to year, but others like to switch it up. You can switch your battalion at any time; just let us know — and make sure your costume suits the section you walk in.
- Talk to your battalion leader as soon as you decide or even while you are still deciding. The battalion leaders can help a lot with ideas for specific costumes and characters. Talk to others in your section before you invest too much in a particular costume concept.
Questions welcome!
