The procession starts on time at 7:30 p.m. sharp, makes a few pauses for a bit of medieval pageantry, and ends around 9:30 p.m. NOTE: We’ve been given the green light for this route, but have not yet received a permit, and due to construction it may be modified.
Starts at Bienville and Front Streets, right onto Bienville;
Right onto Chartres;
STOP: a toast to the royalty and young Joan “Maid of Honor” in English and French from the balcony of the Historic New Orleans Collection at 416 Chartres;
Right onto Toulouse;
Left onto Decatur;
STOP: the crowning of the king and king cake ceremony at Oscar Dunn Park (the sidewalk amphitheater across from Jackson Square);
Slight right onto N. Peters;
A pause to sing Happy Birthday at the Joan of Arc statue as we pass it on the N.Peters side;
Left onto Ursuline;
Right onto Chartres;
STOP: the blessing of Joan’s sword at St. Mary’s Church in the Old Ursuline Convent (1119 Chartres) (instead of at the Cathedral, due to both street and cathedral construction);
Right onto Barracks;
Ends at French Market Place and Barracks!!!

You’ll be this happy when you step up like a knight in shining armor to help Krewe de Jeanne d’Arc pull everything together for our 18th annual parade!!!
Tonight 12/17 at 7 pm is a throw workshop and a votive candle kit pickup at Captain Amanda’s!!!
Come pick up a kit to make some of our 2500 tea light votives at home over the holidays and bring back your assembled votives to the New Year's Work Party. These are super easy, nothing more than a strip of scotch tape!!

Your krewe needs you!
Here are two crucial roles we still need to fill in order for our parade to happen 1/6/26:
1. Truck drivers. We may be medieval themed, but our needs are quite modern in terms of transporting all of our props and materials to make our gorgeous spectacle. We typically rent two Penske trucks, so we need 2 licensed, insured drivers to operate them 1/5-1/7/26 for pickup and load up at our storage unit, to deliver to start/end point on parade day, and then to meet back at storage the next day to unload. We have volunteers to assist with loading and unloading(we can always use more!!!) so what we really truly need are two reliable, safe, drivers!
2. Pedicab Managers. We arrange for the rentals of two pedicabs to transport our king and queen each year in the parade. But we dress the pedicabs to match our theme and we have specially fitting skirts and canopies. This role is a detailed one that requires someone to be able to visit the pedicab garage a few days before the parade to assess and ensure we have everything we need to “outfit the cab” (we would explain this and train you) as well as be responsible for decorating and fixing up the pedicabs before the royalty arrives to step into them!! We are seeking one or two people who are handy, have an attention to detail, and want a specific role the night of the parade that they can focus on before and after... as it also requires them to dismantle the canopy and the skirt and return those items to our trucks.
If you can do either of the above please email captain@joanofarcparade.org or message us!
