The krewe’s highest honor is the Silver Sword award, presented annually at the medieval banquet to individuals who have made significant artistic or leadership contributions that enhance our parade spectacle and the krewe’s mission to promote Joan of Arc and celebrate New Orleans’ French heritage. Evoking the tradition of medieval prestigious knightly orders such as the Order of the Garter, Order of the Golden Fleece or Ordre de l’Étoile, commitment and time and talent investment of these individuals are an inspiration to us all.
